Arrivando davanti all’imponente Chiesa di San Michele in Foro a Lucca può accadere che la nostra attenzione sia rapita da un profumino di pane appena sfornato che si spande nell’aria e …come fosse un richiamo può accadere di non resistere e seguirlo, arrivando così in Via Santa Lucia, dove al numero civico 20, troverete un antico forno generalmente pieno di avventori (a meno che non siate persone particolarmente fortunate), trattasi del Forno a Vapore Amedeo Giusti
Questo forno che vado a presentare non è certamente il primo motivo per visitare l’affascinante città di Lucca, ma se vi capita di passare per Lucca sappiate che, di fianco alla Chiesa di San Michele in Foro troverete uno storico panificio, ancora con la sua antica insegna e con le sue antiche vetrine, dove è possibile trovare i prodotti sempre caldi, e croccanti cucinati nell’antico forno a vapore.
Si tratta di un panificio la cui fama non si limita ai cittadini di Lucca infatti anche i turisti provenienti un pò da tutto il mondo non lasciano Lucca senza aver fatto visita a questo forno ed aver assaggiato i suoi stupendi prodotti.
Ieri, domenica, il forno era chiuso, ma tantissime volte ho golosamente acquistato pane e fantastiche schiacciate e focacce proprio qua e mi sembrava giusto e meritato farne menzione!
